What they're for
About our steel patches
Radial tires carry their load on steel cords that run straight across the casing from bead to bead, with steel belts under the tread. When damage cuts through those cords, the repair has to carry the load the cut cords no longer can.
Elk Valley Steel Patches are made for radial construction and the heavy loads of large haul trucks. Like all our patches, they're black with our bright-orange edge layer, so the repair is easy to spot at every inspection.
