Our story
From Dekota Tire Supply to Elk Valley Patch Co.
Our roots go back to 1976, when Gene Descoteaux founded Dekota Tire Supply after more than 25 years on the front lines of the OTR tire industry. Gene saw a need for repair products built by people who actually understood what tire technicians faced in the field — and built the business around that idea.
The company grew from there, expanding into supplying materials to the tire industry and performing OTR tire installation and repair for mining and heavy construction customers.
In 2010, Don Descoteaux — who grew up in the tire trade — took over the business and rebranded it as Elk Valley Patch Co. in Sparwood, British Columbia. The following year, we launched our flagship product line, the Evolution Series.
Today, the team is led by Don Descoteaux (Owner & Operator) and Bryce Seifrit (Operations Manager, with the company since 2006), and we've grown from a small-batch workshop into an internationally recognized supplier of premium OTR tire repair products — serving mining operations, heavy construction companies, and earthmoving fleets around the world.
